Who we are
Coningsby Capital is an Acorntree company. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this notice.
The contact point for any privacy question or request is connect@coningsbycapital.com.
What this website collects
Nothing. This website has no enquiry forms, no analytics, no advertising tags and no tracking of any kind. We do not build profiles of visitors and we cannot identify you from your visit.
Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs, which may include an IP address, the page requested and a timestamp. These are held briefly by the provider for security and to keep the site running, and we do not use them to identify individuals.
Information you send by email
If you email us, we process what you choose to send. That is usually your name, your email address, the name of your business and whatever you tell us about it.
We use it for one purpose: to reply to you and to consider whether an acquisition might be a fit. We do not use it for marketing.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR, namely assessing a possible acquisition and corresponding with the people who approach us. We have considered your interests and rights, and we think this is what you would reasonably expect when you write to us.
How long it is kept
Where a conversation does not progress, we delete the correspondence within twelve months.
Where a transaction progresses, we keep the records for as long as we need them for the transaction and for any legal, tax or regulatory period that applies afterwards, then delete them.
Who it is shared with
We do not sell personal information and we do not add anyone to marketing lists.
Where a transaction progresses, we may share information with our professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, who are bound by their own duties of confidentiality.
Our hosting and email providers process information on our behalf as processors, under contract, and only on our instructions.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
- ask us to erase it;
- ask us to restrict how we use it;
- object to our use of it where we rely on legitimate interests; and
- ask us to transfer it to you or to someone else.
To exercise any of these, email connect@coningsbycapital.com. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so that we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab) or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Where a change requires your consent, we will ask for it before we make it.
